What peels address

Concerns chemical peels commonly help with

Results vary by skin type, concern, and how many sessions you do. Below is what each concern typically responds to over a series.

01

Hyperpigmentation

Helps fade sun spots, post-acne marks, and uneven tone over a series.

MangoBrite or Lactic
02

Acne and congested pores

Reduces active breakouts and unclogs pores by exfoliating the top layer of skin.

Pumpkin Peel
03

Fine lines and firmness

Supports collagen renewal so the look of fine lines and texture softens over time.

Power Peptide
04

Rough or uneven texture

Removes built-up dead skin and smooths the surface, helpful for dullness and rough patches.

Pumpkin or Power Peptide
05

Melasma and dark spots

Brightening ingredients target melanin overproduction. Best done as a series of 4 to 6.

MangoBrite Peel
06

Dryness and dullness

Adds hydration back while gently exfoliating. A good entry for sensitive skin.

Common first-timer questions

Does it hurt?

Most clients feel a warm tingle that fades within a minute. Stronger peels feel more intense and may have a brief stinging sensation. Your esthetician checks in throughout and can stop early if needed.

How much downtime should I plan for?

The Lactic peel has no real social downtime. The MangoBrite peel can cause light flaking on days 3 to 6. The Pumpkin peel causes light flaking for 3 to 4 days. The Power Peptide peel is the most intensive on the menu, with mild redness and possible light flaking that resolves in 1 to 2 days. Your esthetician will set expectations based on the peel you book.

Which peel matches my concern?

First peel or dry/dehydrated skin: Lactic. Active acne, oily skin, or congested pores: Pumpkin. Melasma, dark spots, or uneven tone: MangoBrite. Fine lines, loss of firmness, or pre-event prep: Power Peptide. If your skin is sensitive or reactive, MangoBrite and Power Peptide are not recommended. If you're unsure, book a consultation and we'll match it during your visit.

When can I wear makeup again?

Wait 24 hours after the gentler peels (Lactic, MangoBrite) and 48 hours after the stronger ones (Pumpkin, Power Peptide). Mineral makeup is the kindest option for the first few days. You'll leave with a written aftercare summary.

Are chemical peels safe for my skin type?

We match the peel to your skin. Lactic is the gentlest and suits most skin types including dry, dehydrated, or sensitive skin. MangoBrite and Power Peptide are stronger formulations and are not recommended for sensitive or reactive skin. If you have eczema, active rosacea, recent isotretinoin (Accutane) use within the last 6 months, open wounds, or known sensitivity to peel ingredients, call ahead so we can advise on alternatives.

Timeline

What to expect over a series

Chemical peels build on themselves. Here is a realistic guide to what clients commonly see at each stage. Your specific timeline depends on the peel, your skin, and how consistently you follow aftercare.

Step 1
3 to 7 days after your first session

Initial renewal

The skin sheds its top layer and reveals brighter, smoother surface texture underneath.

  • Light flaking is normal with stronger peels
  • A brighter, more refreshed look emerges
  • Surface roughness softens
Step 2
After 4 sessions, around 2 months in

Visible progress

A series of peels compounds. Most clients see meaningful change on the concerns they came in for.

  • Pigmentation and post-acne marks fade gradually
  • Active breakouts settle (Pumpkin peel users)
  • Fine lines and texture continue to improve
Step 3
Maintenance, every 2 to 3 months

Holding the result

Once you reach your target, peels space out to a maintenance cadence to preserve the result.

  • One peel every 2 to 3 months for most clients
  • Pair with daily SPF and a basic at-home routine
  • Your esthetician adjusts the peel as your skin changes

Day of your peel

  • Arrive with Clean Skin: Remove all makeup and skincare products before your appointment.
  • Skip Active Skincare: No acids, exfoliants, or strong serums on the day of treatment.
  • Hydrate Well: Drink plenty of water before your appointment for healthy, hydrated skin.

When to postpone

  • Active Infections: Postpone if you have cold sores, rosacea flare-ups, or active acne breakouts.
  • Recent Treatments: Wait 2 weeks after laser treatments, microneedling, or other invasive procedures.
  • Pregnancy & Nursing: Some peels are not recommended. Please inform your esthetician.
